The
70ies are back! That doesn't mean you have to wallpaper your flat
with retro-prints and to hear Abba in repeat – which wouldn't be
the baddest idea because Abba is timeless – but it means you have
to head out and search in the closet of your mother for some new
fashion inspirations. And if your mother isn't really a flower-power
girl, don't worry. Labels all over the world like Gucci, Valentino
and Alberta Ferretti discovered the century and celebrate the
lifestyle of the 70ies-girls in their new summer collections.
Here
are the basics you need this summer to dance through the night, to
travel like they did some years ago and to create that special
feeling of the 70ies, which was free and fringy...
The leather jacket with fringes
We all agree about one point: leather
jackets matches to almost everything. With the fringy leather jacket,
you transform every outfit to a stylish and exciting look. Try the
jacket with jeans and basic shirts and with some biker boots if you
like the rock-chic-look. Or get some flower-dresses and buy a brown
leather jacket. It will be so 70ies, Bowie would be proud!
The flower dress
Like mentioned before, you NEED a
pretty flower dress this summer. And the best way to wear it? Choose
a maxidress and look for some real high gladiator sandals (if your
legs arent that long, choose some which ends shortly upon your
ankles. That looks quite good either). If you need inspiration, check
out the Etro collection for this summer. There are stunning 70ies
dresses which will make you fall in love.
Last but not least – because its
like the most surprisingly comeback of the century – buy a flared
jeans! We were sceptic about the new trend but now, as we have seen
on the streetstyle queens, we are in love with the new combining of
flared jeans. Either if you like a huge flare or you decide to choose
something less, it will look fabulous and your legs will look long
and more skinny than you know them. Wear it with fluttery blouses,
basic shirts, in the layering look, leather jackets, cropped tops but
ALWAYS with heels!
